In this issue

At this time of uncertainty, the one thing we are sure of is that literature and art have the power to nourish and strengthen us. We remain steadfast in our mission to bring you stories and poems that speak to our shared humanity. Some of the fiction writers in this issue look to nature, if not for comfort, then to better understand our complex world. Many of our poets write about love, in language atmospheric and tactile: for human interaction with art and wilderness, for the iamb, and for the Fibonacci sequence. This issue’s poems reflect the late seasons—aging, harvesting, and Thanksgiving. In chilly winter, poetry transports us to settings of joy, intimacy, tolerance, and good will.
